Paul has a professional record of 0-1, with that loss coming against fellow YouTuber KSI in the self-declared “biggest internet event in history” at the Staples Center in Los Angeles in November 2019.The fight between Paul and Mayweather is the latest exhibition bout featuring ageing former champions and celebrities.

Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, now 54, returned to the ring in November to face Roy Jones Jr in a charity exhibition bout that was ruled a draw.

Paul’s younger brother Jake was also in action on the undercard to that fight, scoring an ugly knockout against former basketball player Nate Robinson.

“This is going to be a great night for the fans worldwide as we are bringing something special to them through sports and entertainment,” Mayweather said.
